Below is a trailer from an amazing documentary called Food Inc. Food Inc. was nominated for an Academy Award last year. I first watched in on a flight back from the UK in January (about the best thing that happened on that flight) It is riveting and will leave you questioning just how our food industry ended up the way it is. Check out the trailer and then try to get your hands on a copy of the DVD.

Just a quick post for anyone who may be interested. A self confessed carbohydrate and sugar addict for my entire life, my father Clem has highly recommended that I initiate the Paleo way of life. With nothing to lose and everything to genuinely gain I followed the wisdom of a man that lives and breathes the lifestyle himself. I set about strictly following a program 7 days ago. AFTER SUCH A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO QUESTION IN MY MIND THAT THE PALEO WAY OF LIFE CHANGES THE ENTIRE INTERNAL CHEMISTRY OF THE BODY BOTH PHYSICALLY AND MENTALLY. Except for the first 3 days having completely no elimination movement in the bathroom at all I sincerely feel better. And will endevour to continue this way of life despite the urges to reach for my favourite addictive foods. Really as long as I am feeling better I would be a fool not to.

I was doing some research and Andorra a small country that sits between France and spain has the longest life expectancy according to WHO (83.5 years) The Okinawa people of Japan have the most centurians, but Andorrans live the longest, their diet is classic mediterranean, lean meats, fruits veggies, olive oil, red wine sounds about right but what doesnt sit right is that they have a high percentage of population who smoke! perhaps the clean air and the peace and tranquility and almost non existence of crime ( 1 prison for the whole country with 50 inmates) has something to do with it, and the fact they do manual labour well into their 80, 90's and beyond
